Atomic Alarm Clock – Good Looking Alarm Clock, Calendar
Review by on
There is a lot to like about the Drive Software-developed application Atomic Alarm Clock – and one thing you are not going to like. Let’s start on a positive note and see what you’re going to like about Atomic Alarm Clock. Let’s start in a logical progression, from getting the application to using it.

Getting Atomic Alarm Clock off the web and onto your computer will only take a moment. Since the download weighs in at little over 1.5MB, it can’t take long to complete. To my mind, not having to wait a long time for a download to complete is always a nice thing.

To start using Atomic Alarm Clock you will have to install the application. You will like that the application can be installed in three different languages: English, French and German. You will like that Atomic Alarm Clock asks if it should put a shortcut on the desktop. You will like that the installation process goes along rapidly and smoothly (can be installed on just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system).

Once the application is up and running, you will notice that it replaces the default clock in Windows. The cool thing is that Atomic Alarm Clock comes with numerous skins. I like skins because they let me customize the way the clock looks. One other thing I found interesting is that you can get Atomic Alarm Clock to show your computer’s uptime.

Besides telling you what time it is, Atomic Alarm Clock can tell you if you have something important to do. You can use Atomic Alarm Clock to set up alarms and never miss something important. Atomic Alarm Clock can also tell you what date it is – the application comes with a good looking calendar.

Remember I said you could select to install the application in English, French or German. Well, from the application’s interface you can choose a lot more languages than that. The app provides support for Portuguese, Danish, Turkish, Bulgarian, Romanian, and many more languages.

Here comes the thing I said you’re not going to like about Atomic Alarm Clock: it is not freeware. You can try the application free of charge, but only for a trial period of 60-days. On the upside, 60 days is a lot of time.

Overall Atomic Alarm Clock is a good replacement for the default clock in Windows. It is customizable, lets you set up alarms, and comes with a handy calendar.

Pros
  • Lightweight download size
  • Easy to use
  • Extensive language support
  • Skins
  • Show uptime
  • Calendar
  • Alarms

Cons
  • Free to use only during the 60-day trial period
